GenLab at SNL!
Our first participation in SNL, and many more to come!
We brought gender processing to the 18th annual meeting of the Society for the Neurobiology of Language (SNL), which took place in Geneva.
Rasmus Sinn presented a poster on his planned ERP study on orthographic gender cues on German nouns. It was part of SNL’s “sandbox series”, where projects can still benefit from valuable feedback on design choices and analysis plans prior to preregistration and data collection. After we refined the experiment since presenting it at PuG earlier this year, SNL provided an excellent opportunity to gather further opinions from an audience specializing in language and (cognitive) neuroscience.
Besides the useful scientific input, the conference was a lot of fun and offered the chance to meet many interesting people from around the world and related subfields.
